Claire McTaggart

Claire is a chartered accountant and registered auditor and has 11 years’ post-qualification experience.

​

During her 11 ½ years with PricewaterhouseCoopers she managed the portfolios of Kwazulu-Natal’s Regional Training and methodology, Risk Management and Audit Software Support as well as her corporate audit portfolio.

​

She represented the South African firm overseas being part of the Global training course development team and was part of the national quality review team.

​

She worked in the Pietermaritzburg , Durban, Harare and Malawi offices, the latter two where she was responsible for assisting in the improvement of the quality standard of audits to meet the firm’s standard of quality.

​

After leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers she worked in commerce for three years before starting her own practice, Recro Business Consulting in Cape Town.

​

Her areas of expertise include public and private sector auditing, internal audit, accounting, the preparation of financial statements, taxation and compliance.
