Hein Prinsloo
Hein has investigative experience in excess of 32 years. He joined the SAP in April 1981 after matriculating from the State President C R Swart High School and became an officer in 1987. He started his career as an instructor in the South African Police College in Pretoria 1981. He was deployed at the Kameeldrift Police Station in 1985 where he did general police work. He was later deployed to the Public Order Police where he became a section commander. In 1987 Hein became an Officer in the South African Police after he obtained his National Diploma Police Administration. In 1988 Hein was deployed to Crime Intelligence where he was involved in the investigation of a number of high profile counter – intelligence cases. Hein was later deployed to Commercial Crime Projects where he investigated a number of High Profile Cases. Hein was also involved in High Profile Criminal Investigations in SADC Countries. Hein left the SAPS at the end of 1999 and pursue business opportunities in the private sector. After leaving the SAPS he was involved in complex commercial investigations and management of projects as well as investigations into illegal imports and exports of various different commodities. During 2011 Hein was contracted by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) to assist with corruption cases at the Anti-Corruption Task Team (ACTT). He was involved in financial profiling for the Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) component as well as assisting in the investigation and planning of cases. His field of expertise is crime intelligence, profiling, undercover operations and handling of agents.
