Estelle Mynhardt has investigative experience in excess of 22 years. She joined the SAPS on 1990-12-01 after matriculating from the Hoërskool Evander.  She started her career as an investigator at the Vehicle Theft Unit, Hillbrow in 1991.  She was deployed at the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit, Johannesburg (VCI) from 1999, as an investigator.  She was involved in the investigation of vehicle theft, robbery, insurance fraud, recovery and identification of stolen / hi-jacked vehicles and SAPVIN.  She also investigated internal disciplinary action cases against members of the VCI.  In 2005, she was seconded to the Asset Forfeiture Unit Task Team, Johannesburg where she investigated cases of fraud, corruption, Organised Crime, Terrorism, etc. Her duties also included financial investigations into subjects and entities identified during investigations.  In 2007, she took her discharge from the SAPS and was appointed as Forensic Auditor at the SABC. In 2008, she was appointed as Senior Forensic Auditor.  She investigated cases of fraud, corruption, theft, procurement and tender irregularities and contravention of internal policies and procedures.  She testified in criminal court, disciplinary hearings and at the CCMA.  In 2011, she was appointed at the Anti-Corruption Task Team (ACTT) Head Office in Pretoria.  She conducted financial investigations into subjects and entities identified during investigations at the ACTT. Estelle obtained the Certificate in Money Laundering Control from the University of Johannesburg in 2005, Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigations, University of Johannesburg 2007 and the Certificate in Corporate Governance, University of Johannesburg in 2010.  She also holds a National Certificate in Police Administration from the Technicon RSA.
